We’re Here To Help

We know that you may have questions before coming to your Physiotherapy, Foot Health and Massage Therapy appointment at The Cuffley Physio Clinic. Below are some of the questions that we have frequently been asked but if you have a query that isn’t listed please do contact us and we’ll be more than happy to help.

Do I need a referral?
No you don’t need a referral from a Doctor to see a Physiotherapist or any other member of our team so you can arrange an appointment directly with us by booking online, calling or using our contact form.
How do I book and appointment?

We recommend using the online booking system or calling for Physiotherapy, Foot Health and Massage Therapy at The Cuffley Physio Clinic.  We can sometimes offer appointments on the same day, however we strongly recommended calling ahead or booking online to avoid disappointment.

Follow-up appointments can be scheduled with your treating clinician at the time, booked online, by phone or via email. Your therapist will discuss your treatment plan and suggest an optimal follow-up appointment schedule to assist in your recovery.

How long will my appointment last?

Initial physiotherapy appointments will last up to 45 minutes and any subsequent follow-up consultations will last 30-minutes.

Foot Health appointments are up to 45-minutes in duration.

Massage Therapy sessions vary in duration from 30 to 60 minutes depending on the type of appointment booked.

What is the cost of my treatment?

The cost for treatment depends on the type of appointment that you are booking and is displayed on the relevant services page which can be accessed using the main menu.

How can I pay for my treatment?

Please ensure you are able to pay for your appointment when you attend The Cuffley Physio Clinic. We accept card (except American Express), cash or cheque. Cheques should be made payable to Physio4You Specialist Rehabilitation Ltd. We can provide you with a full printed receipt, or e-mail you a copy for your records if required-please just ask.

Does my insurance cover the cost of my treatment?
We are registered with all of the major insurance companies but the nature of your cover and provision does vary by provider so please ensure that your physiotherapy treatment is authorised prior to the consultation. If your provider does not cover the cost of the physiotherapy treatment, please be aware that you will be required to do so.
What should I wear to my consultation?
Please wear comfortably fitting clothing to any physiotherapy appointments. It might be necessary for you to remove some items of clothing for access to the affected area, so please ensure that you are wearing suitable clothing.
Should I bring anything with me?
If you have a referral letter from another professional or a list of medication, it can be useful to have it available at your initial physio consultation, along with any equipment that you might have questions about.
Is there parking nearby?
Yes there is. We are in a fortunate location where there is free parking along Station Road and a pay and display carpark with one-hour free parking (with a ticket displayed) at the end of Maynard’s Place. There is also a small area of disabled parking bays on Maynard Place.
What about Covid-19?
We are taking extra precautions at the moment with the pandemic to keep you and our team safe. These include:

  • Allotting extra time to clean between each client visit.
  • Limiting the number of clinicians at the clinic at any time.
  • Encouraging clients to arrive a maximum of 5-minutes before their appointment time to allow for adequate cleaning and reduce numbers in the clinic.
  • Requesting, where possible, that you attend your appointment alone.
  • Wearing PPE.
  • Requesting all clients wear face masks when at the clinic where possible.
  • Offering only pre-booked appointments.
  • Unfortunately at this time our toilet is not available for client use.

A full copy of our risk assessments are available if required.

Testimonials

  • Helen is a great physiotherapist! She thorough, extremely knowledgeable and very kind. Despite being busy, I never felt rushed. If the need arises I will definitely go to her again.

  • Helen worked with my 88 year old Mum following her knee replacement. I was very very impressed. Personable, knowledgeable, supportive, she got my Mum full mobilised and back playing bowls. She had her operation in November 2018 and was she was back playing bowls in January 2019. My Mum has now had a refurbishment of her replacement hip and I have no hesitation in going back to her and recommending her to others.

  • An inner ear problem last July that developed into vestibular neuritis led to problems with the muscles, nerves and joints in my neck which caused nausea, dizziness, vision problems as well as the usual aches and pain. In February I came to the Physio4 You team in despair. Rachel did a thorough vestibular assessment and was able to reassure me that the vestibular problem was resolved. I was then given Helen’s details for the neck issues. She has been a real Godsend. She is calm, friendly, reassuring and professional. After a thorough exam in which she listened carefully to my history of symptoms, she took time to explain what the problem was and a plan for treatment going forward. This problem has caused me real anxiety at times. She set my mind at rest that I will get better. I am still undergoing treatment but there has been a vast improvement. She takes time to answer all my questions and I always leave feeling so positive. I would thoroughly recommend their services
